THIS IS HOW IT WORKS
Our UX-Process
There is nothing that makes me feel more satisfied in Product Design than a perfect balance of data-driven user experience (UX) and visually-stimulating user interface (UI) design. What a nerd, right?!
Step 1
Goal identification
This is where I work with the client to determine what goals the site needs to fulfil.
- What is the purpose of the product?
Step 2
Scope definition
Once we know the site's goals, we can define the scope of the project.
- What pages and features does the site require to fulfil the goal?
- What is the timeline for completion and build?
- What does the MVP looks like? (prioritised features vs. deadline)
Step 3
Sitemap and wireframe creation
With the scope well-defined, we can start digging into the sitemap, defining how the content and features we defined in scope definition will interrelate.
Step 4
Content creation
Now that we have a bigger picture of the site in mind, we can start creating content for the individual pages. It’s important at this stage to keep search engine optimization in mind and keep pages focused on a single topic.
Step 5
Visual elements
Depending on the client, this may already be well-defined, but you might also be defining the visual style from the ground up. Tools like style tiles, mood-boards, and element collages can help with this process. It's vital that you have real content to work with rather than placeholders.
Step 6
Testing
Now that you have got all your pages and defined how they display to the site visitor, it's time to make sure it all works. Combine manual browsing of the site on a variety of devices with automated site crawlers to identify everything from user experience issues to simple broken links.
Step 7
Launch
Once everything's working beautifully, it's time to plan and execute your site launch! This should include planning both launch timing and communication strategies.
- How will you let the world know?
- When will you launch? Timing can be very crucial.
Time to break out the bubbly!!
